Whilst Christmas has been and gone; we’re still celebrating the success of the recent Christmas Challenge 2021 campaign here at Big Give HQ! We received hundreds of amazing entries for the Christmas Challenge awards, and now we’re delighted to finally be announcing the winners for the 2021 awards!

Our top 13 charities feature those that went above and beyond for the 2021 campaign, showcasing outstanding achievements, exceeding campaign targets and demonstrating excellent examples of engaging with their supporters.

The judges were hugely impressed by the work put into the applications and we thank all those who took the time to share their success stories.

Alex Day, Director of the Big Give, added:

“We received a record number of applications for this year’s Christmas Challenge Awards. The standard and quality of the case studies is the highest that has ever been presented to us. The Award winners are representative of the diverse set of charities that participate in the Christmas Challenge; large and small organisations, across a wide range of causes and those working to help communities locally and globally. Their case studies showcase the best practices to engage with supporters through the Christmas Challenge and digital fundraising campaigns at large. We are thankful to the Reed Foundation for sponsoring the Awards again this year.”

Applications for the 2022 Christmas Challenge open in May this year- so keep an eye out for when to apply! Other notable campaigns to look out for include:

Launching for the first time on the 8th March, we’re proud to be presenting The Women and Girls Match Fund, supported with match funding by the DCMS Tampon Tax Fund. For one week, you can support charities that are working to improve the lives of vulnerable, disadvantaged or underrepresented women and girls in England and Scotland. Save The Date!

The Green Match Fund 2022 is here again! This is a fantastic match funding campaign for charities that are working on environmental issues as part of their core mission. All public donations made to participating charities via theBigGive.org.uk during the campaign week (22-29 April 2022) can be matched.

Coming June 2022, Champions for Children by the Childhood Trust is due to feature hundreds of amazing charities working to alleviate the impacts of poverty for children and young people across the capital. So make sure you have this in your calendars!

We look forward to seeing you for a campaign soon.
